Yeah, Does It? I have already tried and it really burst my site traffic a lot, I meant A LOT. From my previous article, I already listed that StumbleUpon as a way to expose your site. It generate steady amount of traffic. So, I start with a few experiment in StumbleUpon to further increase my site traffic. Take a look at my account.

Did you notice that I have stumbled and review a lot page? In return, my pages get a lot of review. Back to the main topic, I get high amount of traffic in short period of time in 5 days. After that, the traffic slowly decrease and return to normal traffic. As far I can tell, after the burst of traffic period, my site daily traffic increasing.

My conclusion is StumbleUpon really increase your site traffic but in short amount of time. It will decrease afterward.

Lots of people says that commenting other blog equal to free traffic. It might be work if your comment is really good enough. Your comment must be unique and encouraging other people to discuss further. Your comment will reflect your own credibility thus other people will respect you.

I will not discuss further on how to comment and bring the traffic to your site as you probbaly come across this topic before. In this post, I will talk about your blog comment. In order to encourage people comment on your post, here is the tips for you guys:

1. Post a topic that will lead to the discussion

Yes, it is. Many people said content is king. Try to post something that related to the current issue, something controversial or issue that currently in the blogosphere.

2. Give them back links

I have post up how to enable back links. Read it here. What is so important about back links? back links will give your comment a links back to their blog.

3. Respond every comment that they give you

Responding to the comment is other way to show your appreciation to their visit. simple as that.

Blog promotion can be done in many ways. One way to promote your blog for free is to use ping service. Ping service is used to inform the different search engines that your blog has updated. 1. Read Magazine

What to read depend on your blog. For example, my blog is mainly about computer and technology. Usually I choose to read PC Mag, PC Gamer and other magazine that related to the computer and technology. The things is, it give some idea or inspired me to post something that related to the article that I read. Of course, you cannot copy and paste them all. Just do a little search on the web and start writing. I already have done this and it work.

2. Read Other Blog

Read other blog also can give an idea what to post in your blog. Read other blog that have similar interest with your blog. For instance I occasionally read gadget blog or tech news to get some idea for my post.

3. Have a Good Conversation

Sometimes, it good to have a conversation with your family and friends. Good conversation will help you to gain some idea for your post. If you cannot get idea for your post in this way, you still get benefit. It will encourage you continue blogging because they will support you some way around.

4. Join Community and Chatting Group

Community like Yahoo Answer provide you a really useful idea what to post. Take a look around people problem and try to solve it. Those problem and answer would give you some good idea. If you like chatting, try engaging more encouraging topic. A good topic can lead to a very good conversation and thus bringing some new idea to you.

This mean one things, that is your ranking in search engine and also of course, visitor found this site via search enginne. From my view, many visitors (about 75%) come from the search engine. Let skip it from now as you can experience it when you registering yourself in.

So, after you in, get your counter stat. You cannot see my counter stat because I choose invisible counter. There are many counter stats to choose from and so, choose it wisely. Counter stat will provide you real-time traffic in your blog. So if you choose counter that display the how much page view, you and the visitor will know. It up to you to choose what suitable for your blog.

My Other Article About Blogging

11 September 2007, that when i start blogging. Started my blog with alexa rank around 9,000,000 but now my Alexa rank is 2,425,468. Still got a long way to go. Back then, I do a lot of searching and read other blog to find a way to drive a traffic to my blog, thus make it visible. Althought my blog still very young (less than 2 month), I get around 20 visitor per day. I think it pretty good considering I don't have much time to write article for my blog.

In the less 2 month, I found several way to make your blog visible, thus driving traffic to your blog. Below is the list of community that i joined in the past 2 month. I hope it will benefit you some way around.

My Blog Log

This is the first community that I join shortly after start blogging. It is like friendster whereby you can add friend and have your own community. The trick is, when you join My Blog Log, add as many friend that you can. Visit their blog and if possible say hi to them a leave a comment in their blog. In this way, the blog owner might be visiting your blog back. When someone visit your profile or blog, thank them by leaving a message with a link to your website. This help to promote your blog.

Blog Catalog

It is same as My Blog Log but you can review their blog and rate it. The tips is same as in what i did in My Blog Log. Only the different is, you review other blog and rate it. Give a good review and rate so the owner of the blog will review your blog back. Good rate and review are essential toward building a good relationship with other.

Tecnocrati

The tips is fave other blog especially the new one and it increased the chance for other to fave your blog back. I don't have enough time to do so. As a result, my authority point is lower. Other way to increase the point is post common topic. I have experiment it and managed to increase my point from 9 to 11. Take a look on my post about a new bleach game. Shortly after that i found my point increased. I also found that there are several blog reaction on my technorati page. So, posting the same topic will have the chance to increase your point. Don’t forget, add as many friends that you could.

Stumble Upon.

Another great community to drive traffic to your blog. Add as many friend and stumble his favorite. If you have spare time, stumble other favourite and if possible, write a good review. A good review will help you in promoting your blog. Also, install a stumble Upon toolbar. It is easy to stumble other favorite and of course, your favorite too. Select your best post and stumble it, so your friend can notice your blog.

You Comment, I Follow probbaly the easy way to increase your blog or site rank. Your not only can you visit the blogs on this list, leave a comment, and get a REAL link back to your site (because they’re all using Do Follow), you’ll increase links to your blog by adding your blog to the D list. The things is, many blog have "no follow" tag. So, when you leave your link in comment section, it will be not spidered by search engine. To put it simple, you didn't get link back.
